And don’t get it twisted, artists are saying the same shit ‘Ye is, and have been for years. Kanye isn’t the only one, and he sure isn’t one of the best at it. What bothers me is that Kanye is the only one (lets face it) that you can find on the playlists of white America. None of us would be surprised if we found “Stronger” on Paul Ryan’s P90x workout playlist, follow?

They’ve given this nigga so much press they have to write about him now. They like “Gold Digger” so much they have to listen to him at parties (you ain’t got no fuckin’ Yeezy?). Labels have to play at least two of this man’s singles on the radio (so you see why they worried). His shit gets out there. So it’s a problem when he’s saying real shit, and it’s still not coming across.

So for those who don’t know:

“New Slaves”is not some self-reflective song condemning ”rampant materialism in the black community”.

It is attacking that very racist myth that permeates through all levels of white power structures. Fashion. Press. Government. The church- Catholic and Baptist. Middle-class, upper-class, and lower-class America.

This is not about Kanye’s obsession with fashion, it is about being reduced to nothing but a black man obsessed with fashion by the white fashion industry, white media, and white America.

People are thinking ‘Ye is back on his College Droupout shit, but he never fell off it. It takes the man screaming into a camera and throwing it on walls across the globe for them to finally listen to what he’s saying. He’s not on some new “dark” creative tip. Being black in America was always bleak to ‘Ye. Oh, but this time he didn’t use a sunny Lauryn Hill sample.

*If ‘Ye needs to be called out on something, it shouldn’t be his expensive tastes. It should be the”Champagne wishes/thirty white bitches” shit he still spews. Or the fact that he still thirsts for critical white approval. But you can’t hear that struggle in any of his songs. You should critique his strange fetish for white symbols of status and wealth.
